Mata Traders began as many fair trade companies do. The founders travel to a distant land and are fascinated by the culture heritage and artistry found in everyday objects. They're also taken by the poverty and inequality they see, and the realization that it wouldn't take much to significantly change lives: to provide for stable income, decent housing, nutritious food, and education for the children.

Mata Trader's mission is to work with organizations that educate, employ and empower women. They are committed to ensuring that all the women involved - from the beginning sewers to the marketing director - have a voice.

Mata Traders sizes run from X Small (size 4) to size X Large (size 12) and run fairly true to size. Vivo!'s customers have noted that they do tend to be slim through the waist, so if you have doubts we encourage you to size up for comfort.
