Barro Negro Pottery

Crafted in central Portugal, this unglazed black pottery works in the oven or on a gas flame stove top. It's used traditionally to cook meat, fowl, beans and vegetables, but its unique color and beauty are the star. The pottery is 100% lead free.

Use and care for all pieces: pour boiling water into the pot and let soak for a few minutes before cooking to ensure that the dish being prepared remains moist. It's also best to use wood or plastic utensils and non-abrasive scrubbers. Hand wash only, please.
